The concept:
TrackSpacer is an audio plug-in (available in VST, VST3, AU, and RTAS formats / Mac and Windows) that creates space in the mix for an instrument, voice, or other audio by performing automatic, multiband equalization on a channel. In real-time it analyzes the audio frequency content in a track/bus via sidechain, and applies an intelligent 32-band EQ to subtract those frequencies from the channel/bus where TrackSpacer is inserted.
In other words, it gives room or space to a certain track by reducing its frequencies on another track in real time.
We've developed this very accurate and difficult to tweak algorithm along with Xavier Oudin.
In the mix:
TrackSpacer is versatile and can be used in many different situations. But for illustration let’s look at two common examples where it can solve complex EQ problems. If the kick and bass are competing for space, insert TrackSpacer in the bass channel and have it listen to the kick. Then you can easily fine-tune TrackSpacer so that it only subtracts from the bass signal the frequencies that help define the core sound of the kick everytime it hits. The result is that both are heard more clearly.
If you need to create room for the vocal in a busy and dense mix, route all the competing instruments to a bus, insert TrackSpacer, and have it listen to the vocal. As the performer talks or sings TrackSpacer selectively subtracts the vocal’s audio frequency energy from the bus signal. This gives the vocal a lift without a reduction in the overall volume level of the instruments.
It's very effective on voiceovers where the voice has to sit on top of the background music, it just makes more room for it and you can hear how the music is not disturbing the voice at any time.

CONTROLS
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
- Ratio: With this knob you can control the amount of EQ applied from 0% to 100%
- Filters: Maybe you only want TrackSpacer to duck a certain range of frequencies and leave the other as they are, you can control that with these hi pass and low pass filters.
- Freeze: This button makes the EQ settings permament.
- Screen Display: You can see the original frequencies of the sidechain (white curve) and the EQ curve applied by TrackSpacer (green curve) in real time.

FAQ
- Is it 64 bit? Yes, there are both 32 bit and 64 bit versions.
- Does it require any activation? (Serial number, iLok, Challenge Response, etc) Yes, it requires a serial number that will be e-mailed to you along with the installer. When you open TrackSpacer for the first time you'll be asked to enter this serial number, simply copy-paste it and you're done. It's very simple.
- What kind of payments do you accept? Since this service is handled by PayPal we accept Visa, American Express, MasterCard, and all payments accepted by PayPal.
- Can I pay via other service like Google Checkout? Google Checkout (and many other companies) are only operational in the United Stats, as long as we are spanish we can't use their services. But you can pay via a manual transaction, send us an e-mail.
- Can you send me a receipt of the purchase? It will be emailed to you along with the installer and the serial number.
- Do you provide refunds? We can't provide refunds as the plugin can't be returned. But if you have problems send us an e-mail at info@wavesfactory.com.
- I didn't receive the installer and the serial number. Sometimes our e-mails are catched by the spam box, take a look.
- Is TrackSpacer a miracle-plugin? It is not and we don't want it to be. It just helps you to better control your mix. You still need to use your ears to find the sweet spot of the ratio and both filters.
